Second Place Finish for Robertson Motorsports

May 20, 2008

Winston-Salem, NC: Scott Hall, driver for Robertson Motorsports, made his second appearance this weekend at Bowman Gray Stadium in the sportsman division. Hall and the #23 Carolina Wood Floors and WSSU Motorsport Management Chevrolet were able to pull off a second place finish at the famed quarter mile on Saturday night.

Hall drew the seventh starting position for the first of the two 20 lap races. Hall quickly began working his way to the front of the field.

“The car was running well,” said Hall. “After a couple weeks off racing it was nice to get back in the car and drive. We were very pleased with our finish and look forward to taking the Carolina Wood Floors and WSSU Motorsport Management Chevy to victory lane.”

For the second race the top 16 drivers were inverted, putting Hall in the 15th starting position. Hall ran out of time before he could break into the top ten and finished 11th.

“It was good being able to watch Scott race,” said team owner Mike Robertson. “He is a great driver and we know he is going to do well this year at Bowman Gray. Having Scott on board this year has given the team the opportunity to increase the number of races we can run and help drive awareness for our sponsors.”

Ryan Robertson with Robertson Motorsports will be testing this Friday at Dillon Motor Speedway in Dillon, SC. This is in preparation for the UARA race on May 31st. Robertson will then be running at Caraway on Saturday night with Hall running again at Bowman Gray Stadium.

Robertson Motorsports is sponsored by Carolina Wood Floors, WSSU Motorsport Management, WCWG CW 20 and WSJS 600/1200 AM.
