Team CWF completes Double-Header Weekend
April 29, 2007
It's still the start of the season, but Ryan Robertson and the Carolina Wood Floors team have been seeing a lot of action already. Challenging for the championship again this year at Friendship Motor Speedway in Elkin, the team fielded both cars in last week's Spring Fling opener. Although Ryan was caught up in one of many accidents that night and forced out of the race due to a damaged radiator, Mike Robertson in the #39 car stayed out of trouble and finished fourth.
This past weekend, Ryan Robertson drove a strong race in Elkin on Friday night, taking second place in both qualifying and the race finish, despite strong challenges thorughout the night. On Saturday night, the team competed at Bowman Gray Stadium in the Sportsman division, in preparation for their lead sponsor's title event, The Carolina Wood Floors 100, which will be held at the stadium on Saturday, May 12th. The team will be on hand at the event with the #29 car, signing autographs and t-shirts for their fans. There will also be a drawing that evening, in which the winner will be appearing in an upcoming Carolina Wood Floors television ad on the WCWG CW20.
"It was a busy weekend, and we're tired, but feeling very good about the team and the season that lies ahead", said young Robertson. "Our sponsors have been just terrific, and we intend to make sure they continue to be proud of what we do for them, both on and off the track". The Robertson team has garnered local attention through their secondary sponsor, WCWG, who has featured the team in several promotions on the station.
"We're very happy with the partnerhsip", stated Joe Sigman, promotions manager for the CW20 station. "We've been able to use it to effectively reach our audience in new and interesting ways, and it's opened up associations with the sport that we otherwise would not have had".
