July 9, 2007
Myrtle Beach, SC: Saturday Ryan Robertson and the #39 Carolina Wood Floors Chevrolet made their way to the Myrtle Beach Speedway in South Carolina. This was the first time Robertson competed at the .583 mile track. "I was not sure what to expect going into the race," said Robertson. "I am used to racing much shorter tracks than this one, but feel we did well for our first time racing at the Myrtle Beach Speedway."
Robertson qualified 12th for the first of two races scheduled for the evening. During the race he was able to work his way through the field to finish 8th out of 16 drivers. The second race did not end so well for Robertson. In the first lap Robertson was involved in a six car accident causing him to end the night early.
"We are very pleased with Ryan's performance on Saturday night," said team owner Mike Robertson. "We are excited to see him continue growing as a driver as we travel to new tracks and begin expanding his racing geography."
Robertson plans to return to the Myrtle Beach Speedway sometime in August.
The team is currently sponsored by Carolina Wood Floors, Pat's Body Shop, and WCWG CW20 television station. They will be runnig at Friendship Motor Speedway Friday night, July 13th in the ASA Weekly Late Model race, and again on Saturday night, June 14th at Bowman Gray in two 20 lap Sportsman races worth double points.
