Robertson Follows Last Week's Win With Another Strong Weekend
July 23, 2007
Winston-Salem, NC: After winning last weekend at Bowman Gray Stadium, Ryan Robertson was able to get off to a good start this weekend at Friendship Motor Speedway in Elkin, NC on Friday night. Robertson and the #29 Carolina Wood Floors Chevrolet qualified 4th and redrew the pole starting position. After leading the first 13 laps, Robertson was spun but was able to make his way back up to finish 6th for the first of two 35 lap races. Robertson started on the pole again for the second race, and finished second.
Ryan Robertson Racing Competition Advisor, Scott Hall, had a successful night at Friendship Motor Speedway in the #39 Carolina Wood Floors Chevrolet. Hall finished a strong third place in the first race and fourth in the second.
"We were very pleased with how well Scott raced this weekend," said team owner Mike Robertson. "I am glad to have him as part of the crew."
Robertson's Saturday night at Bowman Gray Stadium in the two 20 lap races proved to be just as successful as Friday night. Robertson had the disadvantage of drawing the 16th starting position for the first race, however, he was able to move up quickly to finish 8th. "Ryan made some extraordinary moves on such a short track and in such a short race", said team owner Mike Robertson.
The draw for the second race proved to be more beneficial to Robertson. He drew the 5th starting position and worked his way towards the front to finish 2nd. Robertson is currently in 2nd place for the Hard Charger award at Bowman Gray Stadium. This award is given to the driver who gains the most places during a season.
The team is currently sponsored by Carolina Wood Floors, Pat's Body Shop, and WCWG CW20 television station. They will be running at Friendship Motor Speedway Friday night, July 27th in an ASA Weekly Late Model 100 lap race, and again on Saturday night, July 28th at Bowman Gray in two 20 lap Sportsman races.
